Kruger National Park

Marloth park is ideally situated between two of the Kruger National Parks most used gates (Malelane Gate and Crocodile Bridge Gate) and is approximately 15min drive from each. This makes it close enough for short morning or afternoon drives.

Should you be interested in spending a day inside the park you can enter in through either of the above gates and do a loop via Lower Sabie Camp, Skukuza Camp and Berg-en-dal Camp and exit through the other, ensuring a large amount of distance to be covered inside the Park but without needing to back-track on already travelled roads.

Mozambique

Marloth park is approximately 25kms away from the Mozambique Border at Komatiepoort. Another 90kms on and you will find yourself in the city of Maputo. This city is renowned for it's lively vibe, colourful history, friendly people and fantastic seafood! Don't miss out on paying Maputo a visit, either as a day trip or for a few days.

20kms North of Maputo you will find the Island of Macaneta, which can be reached by a ferry that runs every day. Drive on at the bustling mainland and 10min later drive off on this stunning yet quiet island. There are a few resorts with camping and chalets available, but the real attractions are the pristine beaches with crystal clear water where you will probably be the only person visible in either direction, even during peak seasons!

Eastern Mpumalanga

Many other attractions, whether historical, cultural or natural await you should you feel inclined to go exploring. From the battlefields of the Eastern Transvaal, to the famous Bourkes Luck Potholes. You can stand on the brink of the third largest canyon in the world - the Blyde River Canyon - and look in awe at the Three Ronavels, or spend the day visiting the myriad waterfalls that abound in the area. If you have young ones, why not retrace the steps of Sir Percy and his faithful dog Jock, or go panning for gold at Pilgrims rest?
